1.The person who draws the cheque known as the DRAWER.

2.The DRAWEE on which the cheque is written or the BANK.

3.The PAYEE to whom the amount of the cheque is paid by the bank

Apart from general problems, the following problems are faced by students in the Third World :

1.Limited seats in good schools and colleges make the admissions difficult. In ordinary schools and colleges students do not have the opportunity to develop their talents.

2.Often they fail to study the subjects of their choice. They are compelled to study the subject contrary to their bent of mind. All their future programmes are upset because of this problem.

3.Political environment in educational institutions obstruct the main objectives of the students.

4.Load of books and lack of practical knowledge have also been the problems for students of primary stage and secondary stage of education respectively. To these, we can add the heavy expenses of education in english medium institutions as a major problem of students in the Third World.

These are the main problems that students face in Third World Countries. The Governments should take steps forward so that these problems can be solved.

Characteristics of a good essay

Harmony :
The subject matter must be clearly defined on the landscape of brain. Irrelevent matter must be avoided. There must be a unity and solidarity. The wordings of the subject must be well defined and arranged in mind.

Mining and quarrying :

those who obtain coal, metal ores, building rock, oil and gas from the earth, are in this group.

Trade and commerce :

people who buy and sell. These can be small shops or huge firms which send billions of rupees worth of goods all over the world.

Service :

this is a fast growing area of employment in all countries. Service workers help to make life better for all of the people.

Self Medication

Self medication has always been a part of normal practice in human life from the ancient times. Such hollow practice is supposed to be a baseless and doubtful attitude. It has never been appreciated, for the fact that, it may induce severe effects on human body.

There is a fundamental difference between medical prescribing and self-medication. A qualified doctor is well trained about the symptoms and their causes, so he basically concentrates on symptoms as well as its causes. It would be difficult for an unqualified prescriber to investigate the basic causes. Essentiality must be given to the causes and secondly to the symptoms.

Another essential characteristic of democracy is the freedom of press and information media. In a democratic society, there are no boundaries and restrictions on the individuals to criticize against the government or any institution.

In dealing with the state, we ought to remember that its institutions are not aboriginal, though they existed before we were born, that they are not superior to the citizens.

All man made laws are alterable and can be amended in a refined form for the enhancement of social worth of man.

It is a conclusive fact that the best democratic values can only be achieved by sincerity, generosity and mutual understanding between individuals of a society and the government.

Courage & Fear

Courage is the trait that enables a person to do what he is afraid to do despite the fact that he is afraid of doing it. Fear is something that enables a person to keep himself away from doing things which will harm him. Nature gives us fear so that we are protected by danger.

It is not disgraceful for one to be afraid, for every human being fears something or the other. A coward is the person who lets his fear master him. The brave men do what they ought to do. A person must be able to act bravely even though he is afraid to do so. By doing a thing that a person fears sometimes help him to get over his fear. Courageous men always overcome senseless and baseless fears.

Science - a blessing or a curse?

as we turn over the pages of history, we come across the development made by man in different walks of life over the centuries. From the primitive Stone Age to the modern computerized era, every step of man has proved to be the milestone in the history of civilization. Modern science has evolved over a long period, and now it has reached the peak of success. It has worked wonders in our life, but it cannot be said that it is altogether a blessing. When we look at the other side of the picture, we are filled with a sense of horror. The fear of war and destruction hangs over our heads all the time. In order to understand the creative and destructive aspects of modern science, we stand in need of an analysis that will help us differentiate between the good and the bad.

As we look over the brighter side of the achievements of science, we come to realize that there is hardly any sphere of life that has not been enhanced by the creative abilities of men. In the realm of communication, modern scientific inventions have helped a lot. Traveling today is not only swift, but also full of pleasure and luxury. Modern science has opened new vistas of entertainment. All new gadgets have filled our lives with recreational variety.

As we cast our eyes on the other side of the picture, we cannot help coming to the conclusion that science is also the monster of death and destruction. Man has gained knowledge in the field of science, but due to lack of wisdom, he is misusing his knowledge. Men has created destructive weapons by the help of science. These weapons are so destructive that they can banish life from a place.

By the comparison above, we can neither declare science a full blessing nor a fully evil curse.

Influence of Media

Mass media is the resource of newspapers, magazines, televisions, radio etc. There are many things that children fail to understand from a book or a teacher but via TV and it is easy for them to understand and pick up. They pick their area of interest and study about it which helps them in increasing their knowledge.

These resources have created a vast impact on the people and their knowledge power. This is quite true that many children usually forget to complete their homework but they DO remember to watch their favorite shows on the TV at the right time. This is the power of MASS MEDIA!!!

Education as a Means of Prosperity

Education is indispensable for all round national development. Human factor is of greatest comfort for all round national progress.

The aim of education is three fold development of human personality be it physical, mental and morally. Students of today are the citizens of tomorrow, if they are wealthy, well equipped with knowledge and are persons of character, they can raise the country strong and prosperous.

Only liberal education cannot achieve the progress goals. It is scientific and technical education that requires utmost attention.

Education is necessary for both sexes. Mother's lap is the first school of a child. An educated mother can produce devoted persons of character. A woman is the light of the home. If they are educated they shall take the light of education to other generations.

It is said that "to reject the education of young ones is to weaken the constitution of a state".

Importance of Commerce

It is said that whole life is a big schooling. One is never too old to learn. What is necessary is the willingness to learn. All knowledge is possible through the two eyes - curiosity and desire. Knowledge is like a vast, unfathomable ocean.

Education may be liberal or it may be special. Now a days there are three faculties in higher education namely arts, commerce and science. Young people, now a days, are generally guided by lucrative aims. There main desire is to earn money and become rich. Very few aspire for knowledge for the sake of knowledge-the aim for the older generations. Business education offers good prospects for the ambitious person. Many of them join commerce colleges or take admission in commerce with the aim of getting good jobs.

Economic activities and aims dominate the minds of modern men. Business, commerce and industries are important branches of economic activities. Industries are said to be the backbone of national economy. Trade or business follows the flag. The Englishmen came to India as traders and ultimately became the masters.

Commerce is at the moment a promising subject as a whole. In the present day world, almost every human activity is related with economy, whether in the shape of trade and industry or commerce and banking. Any concern which has transaction of money, a commerce graduate has his footing there.

Secondly, the related fields of commerce are many and varied. Science, in spite of its expanding scope, is yet limited in providing jobs to the teeming millions. The scope of science is all the more limited in backward countries like Pakistan. The Humanities subjects are also not very promising from the profession point of view. Arts subjects appear to have lost their worth from earning point of view.

In view of above stated facts, it maybe said that commerce graduates have some what better prospects in Pakistan.
