Steel Industry in Europe

Great Britain is one of the important iron and steel producing areas in Europe. The important places in regard to steel production are Sheffield, South Wales, South-east coast. France and Germany are the other important countries which produce iron and steel.


Both iron ore and coal is mined from the same place in Great Britain. This is the reason that both coal and iron industry have developed in Great Britain. The areas of Birmingham, Kovetri, Radem and Doly are famous for iron and steel industries. Newcastle has the biggest centers Swanse and and Lahotali.

Germany in Europe is the fourth biggest producer of steel goods in the world. The steel producing areas are Hartz mountains, Sekiloli and upper Silea. The steel industry in France is localized in Bari, Nancy and Longways.

Apart from these countries iron and steel industry is established in Europe at Luxembourg, Belgium, Italy, Sweden, Russia, Poland and Czech Republic.
